Fight Lover is a new Spanish promotion that respects combat sports and their history, at a time when many organizations create their own belts without any sporting, legitimate, or historical value.
The promoters of Fight Lover, Mr. Victor Matias Bocchio and Alessandro Faraco, have chosen to trust and collaborate with real federations such as the WKN, which have a solid history, strict regulations, and beautiful official belts worn by thousands of fighters worldwide, including a significant number of legends. Most importantly, these federations have earned global recognition through over three decades of combat sports history.
The WKN World President emphasized a crucial point: the Spanish organization Fight Lover – Noche de Leyenda is now the number one reference in Spain, and is recognized as serious, honest, and respectful of the 31 years of WKN hard work in the field.
It is deeply satisfying to see the respect given to the work WKN has been building since 1994. A world championship must be organized with a real federation, and this is something Fight Lover fully understands.
We have nothing against the major promotions worldwide & smaller one too that everyone knows, but it must be understood that these companies have no legitimacy to call their fights “world championships.” They are not official federations with national legitimacy, capable of structuring and developing the sport through:
• National championships
• Regional championships
• Continental championships
• Intercontinental championships
• And, finally, world championships
They simply use the term “World Championship” without the true legitimacy behind it. Fighters in these promotions are certainly well paid, but true combat sports rely on legitimate structures, recognized rules, and respect for the sport’s history.
It is worth noting that even though the UFC is the largest combat sports promotion in the world, it has never claimed to crown “world champions” in the federative sense, but only UFC champions a clear sign of respect for official federations everywhere in the world and our.
True combat sport is the one that can legitimize a world championship recognized by a federation, which has built over the years a global network from national titles to the ultimate title: the WORLD championship.
